Publication Date: April 5, 2011

Rating: 4/5

“Her hands were freezing, just like they always were, so I warmed them, just like I always did.”
Gayle Forman, Where She Went

Summary: It's been three years since the devastating accident . . . three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever.

Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Juilliard's rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia's home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future-and each other.

Told from Adam's point of view in the spare, lyrical prose that defined If I Stay, Where She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.

My Thoughts: I have to say, I was a bit disappointed about this book. Where She Went is set 3 years after If I Stay. It's also told at Adam's point of view, which made it interesting. The middle of the book sort of dragged on and I wasn't a huge fan of how the book ended. That being said, I loved the writing. The writing is what kept me on my toes and kept me reading.

Mia's character developed amazingly from the first book to this one. She is much more grown up. Adam on the other hand was sort of a jerk. He's a big star now in the music industry so he has fans and interviews and tours and everything gets to his head. But by the end of the book, Adam is bearable. ;)

Overall, it was pretty good. It wrapped things up and the ending left me moslty satisfied. If you've read and liked If I Stay, I really do recommend reading Where She Went to get more of the characters and the story.
